Description:
A major building on the campus of Central Connecticut State University houses the gymnasium, natatorium, and other University athletic facilities. The firm of Martin A. Benassi, AIA - Architect was hired to provide a design for a new coal-tar pitch built up roofing system applied to tapered rigid insulation.  An evaluation of the existing rooftop mechanical units was included in the scope of work.

Scope of work included:

• Remove existing roof
• Install new roofing system and related metalwork
• Install new roof drains
• Replacement of several mechanical units
• Minor masonry repair work on the stair towers

Estimated cost:  $984,000
